Drupal Websites = Powerful Integration and Flexible Customization

“Drupal is a free software package that allows you to easily organize, manage and publish your content, with an endless variety of customization.”  Ref. drupal.org

This endless variety of customization is one of the key reasons that we, at BlueTech, have chosen to employ Drupal as our CMS (content management system) of choice, when building our clients' websites.  Fueling this customization is the very nature of Drupal’s design.  Drupal began in 1999 as a message board and quickly received public interest; a short while later, the Drupal project became open source.

Drupal.org came online in 2001 and thusly the online community was formally birthed.  This online community is responsible for the ever growing and expanding modules powering Drupal websites.  This community also serves as an invaluable resource, providing expertise and know-how for all integration and development aspects of even the most complicated website design needs.  This can include: website frontends (public brand profile), eCommerce (online stores), website backend systems (including registration systems, document storage and transfer, project management tools, subscription services, and online social communities), as well as social media integration.

In addition to the resourcefulness of Drupal’s online community, many of the local major cities have active, thriving Drupal communities; and Vancouver is no exception.  In fact, Vancouver is proudly home of the Vancouver Drupal Summit and just a five hour drive to our south, Portland, Oregon is the home of Portland Drupalcon 2013.  These local community groups strengthen and bolster the skills and abilities of our local developers.

Here’s a partial list from drupal.org of some big names that are using Drupal to power their websites.

From local businesses to global corporations, diverse organizations use Drupal.
